2012 Presidential Campaign images

Q: Do you think that the presidential candidates make good use of today's technology - television, Internet, social media, etc. - for their campaigns? Find one example of the best and worst campaign images (in your opinion) and write one paragraph for each.

I believe that the presidential candidates are making very good use of today's technology.  You can find information about both of the presidential candidates on every major website, facebook, yahoo, and wall street journal to name a few.  There are all sorts of jokes and cartoons about them that you can find in all the newspapers and magazines as well.  You can also find a commercial advertisement about each of the candidates on t.v. along with news broadcastings.

BEST 2012 CAMPAIGN IMAGE

In my opinion this is one of the best campaign images for this presidential candidate.  It is simple, to the point, and this quote that the president made is wildly fair.  It speaks to a large portion of the population and would help give women more of a voice in the world of politics.  Women would be understood better and actions would take place to meet their needs.

WORST 2012 CAMPAIGN IMAGE

In my opinion, this is the worst campaign image for this presidential candidate.  It is also simple, however, this quote does not make any sense at all.  We cannot even be sure it was said by Mitt Romney although it does coincide with his campaign slogan "Believe in America".  This campaign image does not convey any kind of hope or change for the future. It only leaves the audience confused and questions his intelligence.

Introduction

Hello, My name is Shannon Whann but I prefer to go by my middle name Veronica.  I am a Fine Arts major and hope to have my own gallery someday. I am a huge movie buff and love to draw portraits of my favorite movie characters with mixed media. I also love to paint landscapes with mixed media, preferrably beaches and forests.  I am very happy to be taking Beginning Digital Arts but at the same time I am also pretty nervous.  I have never done anything artistic on the computer and hope that I do very well.  I expect to learn many new skills that will hopefully combine my drawings and mixed media art with technology and turn them into something new.
